Services - Buying Judgments, Evaluating Judgments
Linden Arden buys all judgments in California and some in other states.
Linden Arden can review your judgment. To be clear, the document must be titled judgment. An abstract of judgment or any other document will not be enough to evaluate your judgment. If your judgment is selected to be purchased, you will receive some paperwork that must be signed and notarized. Once the paperwork has be correctly signed and returned, Linden Arden will send you a check for your Judgment.
Many factors can affect the value of your judgment. Judgments are good for 10 years. Before the 10 year mark, the judgment must be renewed or else it expires and becomes worthless. Default judgments can be worth much less than judgments won after a trial. Judgment against Debtors who don’t have assets are usually worth nothing at all. Judgments can be issued in state or federal court. Arbitration awards can be converted into a judgment (there are time limits for this conversion).
Linden Arden has the ability to understand and review all this information to properly evaluate your judgment and make you an offer to buy your judgment. Selling your judgment now may be better an uncertain collection effort later. Some judgments may be worth something now and lose their value later, particularly if they expire. Hiring an attorney to renew your judgment can be an expensive process. Submit your judgment today to have it evaluated by Linden Arden.
